This is the last of our Roots Anointing Blend containing Atlas Cedarwood, Sandalwood, Myrrh, Frankincense Carterii, Spikenard, and Ginger essential oils. There is limited quantity available, due to some of these ingredients becoming endangered.

Chakra Function:

The root chakra is the first chakra and it is the foundation for the other six main chakras within the body. It is the grounding chakra. The root chakra draws energy from the earth; you have direct contact with the earth when you sit on the root chakra such as in meditation. The root chakra is the embodiment of all of your ideas. When the root chakra is in balance, energy flows freely through the body; you feel secure, and you have the courage to carry out tasks. The root chakra symbolizes determination, vitality, and strength.

The root chakra serves to ground us in the world. Earth energy is pulled upward through the minor chakras on the soles of the feet and up the legs, to balance this chakra.The energy is then pulled up the spine to balance the testes or ovaries, which are the parts of the endocrine system associated with the root chakra. If you feel ungrounded, one solution is to take off your shoes and stand on the grass or sand, which will help you absorb more earth energy. Doing this in conjunction with using Roots, our 1^st chakra essential oil blend can definitely amplify the effects of this practice.

Issues of the Root Chakra:

Physical signs of an imbalance in the root chakra include susceptibility to illness, manifestation of lower back pain, knee difficulties, constipation, hemorrhoids, sciatica, and obesity and weight problems. You may also find that you have physical problems along the spine, in the bones, or legs.

If the root chakra is unbalanced, you will notice both physical and emotional signs in your body. Emotional signs include fear, feeling ungrounded, selfishness, and the inability to carry out the basic day-to-day needs that your body needs. You never start, or you fail to finish projects. You feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders. And you have an unhealthy "disgust" for your body. Depression or addictive behavior (alcohol, sex, drugs) may set in.
